I've owned SAABs for over 30 years and have never owned on newer than 1980. My first, a very early '67 96 V-4, still hunkers in my garage asking for a restoration. I really loved driving that car, more than any other V-4 I've driven. I owned a long-nose stroker one winter and have never had so much fun driving any car I've ever owned. When my (ex-)wife needed a replacemant for her old Volvo 122S, there was no question about buying a '79 900GLE; there wasn't anything made in the world that equaled it, the *second* time in my life that I "Dr(o)ve a Datsun, then decide(d)". (I drove a Datsun 510 before I bought my first 96 V-4.)
As far as the lack of power in the strokers? That's a crock... Most people don't use the power under their foot no matter how much there is and stroker cylinders fire on *every* revolution, not every other one.
