Thanks 4 your help & encouragement so far! We have windchills out here in
West Ks. in the winter of -40 to -50%. Straight winds that will blow a semi
over. So I am a little skeptical about the Saab heater. BUT I put the blower motor, matrix and thermostatic valve back together. I flushed lbs of
scale out of the matrix, and I didn't wind the coil around the two posts, just pushed it back through the hole. I also had to replace the control cable running back to the lever in the cockpit, (which took longer than the
whole rest of the heater assy.) My QUESTION IS: I noticed what looked like
an adjusting screw in the thermostatic valve at the base of the little cylinder that the thermostatic coil comes out of. Since it was screwed all
the way out, I screwed it all the way bak in. What is it and what did i do?
