V-4 Weber carb idle?

I finally brought my 70 V-4 back to life with a cannibalized motor, but the
idle on the Weber 40oich(?) (one barrel) idles too fast, about 1500-2000 rpm. That funny looking crooked arm that goes from the carb to the throttle
linkage is what is limiting the idle now, the idle adjustment screw is a
1/4" away from touchiing the stop. I suppose I could bend the crooked link
some more, but surly there is a more sophisticated way? Do i need a different idle jet in the Weber? If so is there a link for weber parts? Thanks in advance. the "kid"
