My opinion has always been that you are beter off repairing what you know than buy something that you don't know and ending up pouring money into it. I used to constantly advise people this way when I worked as a mechanic. As for parts, they are out there if you know the right sources. Try Chip Lamb at West of Sweden in Charles City, near Williamsburg. See the link below.
