I think that Andy is correct about the cams, however, our Aussie Friend is on to something. It does appear that Saab Lamed out the post '74 EMS here in the States. The california spec one is really sad. I checked out differences in the parts books, and couldn't find any except for california exausts. It would seem to me the only way this could be achieved would be by timing/ fuel injection adjustments. With all the adjustments and repairs done to the cars over the years, short of retaining a California exaust system, all EMS' world-wide should be the same by now. John is right on this one, read the specs in the Haynes manuals. They even give better specs to the non U.S. Turbos in the supplement section in the back. I have yet to find a significant error in the Parts books, so I'm curious how they come up with these differences. There is one thing we all share...the same parts book with all differences clearly stated (headlights, etc.).
