Embarcadero Saab definitely are crooks, but I'd watch out for Planet Saab too. I went to Embarcadero twice. Each time they gave me an estimate, swore they had the correct diagnosis, then mid-stream when the car was in pieces, told me they found another problem and it would cost double. One of the times, they told me my flex plate needed replacing. It had just been replaced (supposedly) by Planet Saab less than two years previous. The flex plate should not crack in the life of the car, let alone twice in two years, so one of them is lying and charged me for work/problem they did not fix. Originally, I was going to Planet Saab, but started having doubts that they were actually doing the repairs they were charging me for, and when I discovered they left a pliers in my engine, I went to Embarcadero. Embarcadero are definitely crooks. The dealer who sold me my car told me they took Embaradero off their list because they got so many complaints and warnings about them from their customers.
