GF's dad hit my car, now what should I do?...

My girlfriend's dad backed into my 95 900S tonight and smashed it up pretty good. The left headlight was shattered, all evidence of the left headlight wiper disappeared below the headlight, the corner lamp was smashed, the grille snapped, and the hood dented along the front lip.
I've already decided I'm gonna replace the grille with a 9-3 grille (my car is cirrus white, should I get the black pearl?), but what I'm wondering about is the headlight. I can replace the unit for $169.50, but my lenses would be 150k apart in wear. I was thinking about just replacing the lenses with e-codes from taliaferro at only $132 for both. That's an improvement in lighting and looks. The damage to my headlight is that the grille mounting tab is broken off and the little level inside came off too. So I guess my question is: is there any reason not to glue the tab and level back on and go with the superior lenses? Those parts certainly aren't so critical that a good glue job will not be enough, right?
Either way, we're looking at around $500 before even touching the dent in the hood. Youch, the front corner is not a good place to hit a Saab!
