It really sucks to try to estimate a timing belt change for the V6 at that mileage and be as honest as possible. The price difference is skyhigh depending on what has been replaced before or not.
The bare bone cost of installing a new belt on your car would be around $200.00 and that is what many shops quote when calling for prices.
What your car really needs could be far away from that price, all depending on what has been replaced earlier.
Parts that could be wise to replace at this time is timing belt tensioner, front engine seals, plastic timing cover, coolant thermostat and water pump, serpentin belt and idler pulleys.
All those other parts would run up to roughly $900.00 parts and labor.
If you know for sure that the tensioner assembly was replaced with a new one at 95K and your mechanic agrees on it, you can run the tensioner another 30K miles (BUT not longer than that).
Just the same goes with all the other stuff that I mentioned. If you know that some or all of the parts has been replaced before, it's no need to do it again at this time (maybe next timing belt change though?).
What you don't want though is to let a shop replace the timing belt where they don't know about the pit falls of this engine. That could be costly in the short and long run.
