I'm not sure I'd try that one by myself again. It really was a pain to get it all back together. I had a MUCH easier time on the 89 900. Don't know what a shop would do timewise. It took me a couple of days with several hours in each day to finish it. I've not done struts or springs on the 97 so I can't compare that easily but I think it might be in the same ballpark.
I had so many problems I wasn't expecting, like the inner CV stuck on the splined shaft and the outer slined shaft stuck in the outer CV and the inner boot from eEuro with the wrong size outer clamp, sigh. Works now though. Since both joints looked good when I cleaned them out and I didn't replace them I suspect the vibration will still be there next time I get it on the highway.
Check out my next post on how I found out WHY I had to replace the boot in the first place. Sheesh...
