Yeah, my emergency parts kit is growing. After my fuel pump died while in the center lane on the interstate two weeks ago, I am not eager to repeat the experience with the clutch cable in traffic... wondering how many people drive around with a clutch cable next to their spare DI cassette and idler pulleys in the trunk... <chuckle>
Best of luck with your 96 SET btw, despite my other comments, I have enjoyed driving mine... cheesecake and shots of Aquavit in the driveway may be appropriate when I get to 100k.
No idea if the manual adjust is any better... maybe time to start saving up for the conversion to hydraulic?
