As GregD points out, 15-60 minutes after shut down is not a cold start in a mechanics eyes. That is the famous time interval where the regular bad CKP sensor problem shows up.
It also show that sometimes we can sit here and exchange ideas "til the cows come home" and if the car had been at a good shop they might have picked up the problem right away and replaced the sensor.
It's always a step by step approach that needs to be followed and checking the CKP sensor at a no start condition is up there on the list.
Interesting though with the resistance reading.
It would be interesting to see if the Tech 2 scanner would pick up a signal at cold start from the CKP sensor or if it is a dead give away right away.
