Compression, leakdown test results - opinions?

Compression test, leakdown and oil pressure test done. Some opinions interpreting the results would be appreciated.
Oil pressure and compression tested ok, but leakdown did not. No. 2 cylinder showed 78% leakage. Mechanic suspects an intake valve is burned or sticking open due to accumulated deposits.
I was surprised since I thought I would notice something more than a rough idle when cold. I suppose a CEL is too much to hope for when something real does go wrong with the engine, and not just with one of the three emission control systems on the car...
Valve cover pulled (again), no "sludge" found, just lots of hard flaky deposits mixed with relatively clean oil (1k miles since last 10W30 oil change and 4k since a treatment with Amsoil engine flush).
Readings:
Oil pressure 50 psi at 2000 rpm
(measured at the turbo oil line banjo bolt)
Compression, cyl #1 - 143, #2 - 145, #3 - 142, #4 - 142psi
Leakdown, cyl #1 - 14%, #2 - 78%, #3 - 12%, #4 - 18%
(measured using compressed air regulated down to 100 psi base)
Valves for cyl #2 were "not tight, followers spin freely"
For the moment, I will be running a dose of valve cleaner for a couple tanks of gas while I ponder my options. Pics under valve cover taken, and can post later if anyone is interested.
