When you perform a leak down test on an engine, the air pressure should be no more than 25 psi. Any more and you run the risk of turning the engine over resulting in faulty readings. Snap on makes a good leak down tester with it's own internal air pressure regulator for a couple hundred bucks. On the other side of the coin, KD tools makes on efor about $50 that works just as well. I would perform the test again only because of the normal compression reading on cyl #2,I find it hard to believe that 78% test result with normal compression.
