This is going to sound silly but did you check your floormat? It's possible that it's keeping the clutch pedal from going all the way in.
On my car ('95 SET Conv) my second gear had a tendency to crunch for a long time. After 2 clutch cables I got sick of dealing with it and had my Saab guy open the trans(Around 90,000.00 miles). The synchro's were fine, it turned out that the clutch slide-out bearing was sticking (Slide shaft had gotten rusty) and was streching my cables / keeping the clutch from fully disengaging. He polished and greased the shaft, put in a new clutch, problem solved! The car has been shifting great ever since.
