They depreciate dramitically. It also helps that I love this car. I will be in the market for a good used car in exactly 1 year (when my Jetta lease is up) and I figure I'll be buying a 3-5 year old Saab (9.3), Volvo(850 or v70), Audi A4 or VW Passat. The Audi may be a bit small (back seat), the Volvo a bit Boxy (and apparently these models are not so reliable) and the Passat will probably be too expensive(they are seriously in demand in Miami).
I see a lot of Saabs on the road here but strangely you never see any in Used car lots... especially SAAB Dealer used car lots. I hear they go at auction.
If you guys have any pointers or know of any FAQs to guide a first time Saab buyer, please post/email.
Also are Saabs any more expensive to maintain that the rest of my choices? There are quite a few independent SAAB mechanics in this area (but i don't know if that's good or bad!)
