"Perhaps your drivers seat was tweaked by the previous owner. One good strong push with both feet into one side would bend the frame. Put a straigt edge across it and see. Have it adjusted by your Saab mechanic and even yourself out."
That would make sense and probably why those with manual seats seem to complain of mis-alignment issues while those with power seats seem not to have those issues.
