I wouldn't blame the car company for the way the lease/finance company operates. I've never leased but I wouldn't be surprised if this is standard, since I doubt that Saab's financing would be anything special compared to any other manufacturer - just hired hands to collect the money, and they probably collect as much as possible anyway possible. You are obviously informed and proactive so I think you'll come away from this just fine. Go get the Aero, treat it like you did the 9-3, and don't worry about 3 years from now. In fact you may even want to pay the residual on it by then since the 9-5 is slated for redesign right around then I believe.
