If you think that SAAB's inspection was tough you should have seen the guy who did the inspection from Chase. I have a 1999 93SE and 3 months before the lease was up they called and asked if I would be leasing a new vechicle or buying out the car from the lease.

I said that I would be turning in the vechicale and somehow they thought I was turning it in 3 months early. Without any warning a guy and and a flat bed showed up at my house on a tuesday morning in November about 7:30 am. He bannged on my door for about 5 minutes before we heard him. He stated that he was from chase and was here to inspect and collect my car.

I said no he wasn't and called Chase. They had in their records that I was terminating my lease and would payout the last 3 months and a $500 dollar dispositon fee! I said that I was not terminateing the lease early and that yes at the end I would turn in the car. He asked to speak to the inspector and oked that the car stayed but he still needed to do the $500 dollar inpection.

This guy spent 1.5 hours going over the car and also taking it for a test drive. When he was done he had 3 pages of report that contained every little abrasion and dirt mark..said something about maintenence not followed since the dealer usually didn't fill out the mile cards in the book but I had all the receipts. Front end need alignment but yet I just had that done in the spring, balance 4 tires, replace a rim the list went on and on.

When I got the report from Chase with the estimated payment I would have to make an additional $1,800 on top of the disposition fee. I told him to blow it out of his...

We he did ask why I wasn't keeping the car and made me an offer for 4 thousand less than the lease value and end of contract. I agreed and purchased out the lease at end of term which saved me $2,300 in fees from Chase.

I will never lease a car again if this is how they play games with us.
