If it's got low profile tires on it, like those that are common on 16" or bigger wheels, perhaps 37 PSI would be a good match. Too low a pressure, and you're very likely to damage the wheels. I think 33PSI is probably fine for a 15" but low for a 16 or 17.
Check the pressure when the car is cold and in the shade before you go somewhere. Checking tires sitting in the hot sun, or after or during a drive is not accurate, and could read 42PSI when the actual cold temperature is much less.
