If you find down the road, that your FM/AM reception begins to go down hill, you may have to install the antenna wire differently. We installed XM in a 9-5 and discovered this situation. The factory antenna wire attaches to the "basket" that holds the radio. When you slide the radio back in, it make a connection with the antenna lead.
We discoverd that by using the jumpers you need to install the modulator, the radio didn't a make good connection. We found, that after pulling out the radio head, pull out the basket. Feed the antenna lead throught the spot in the basket and attach it to the radio head. This is the place whee you need at least 4 hands.
Install the basket in place. Then slide the radio head back into the basket. This should preserve the reception of the radio.
