The BPC valve could be malfunctioning. If bad, get a MBC. How do you know? Hard to say. Can you swap valves with somebody to see? If you get a MBC, it looks like a great savings, but you will likley want a performance BPV later, as the plastic BPVs start to fart when a MBC is installed.
The DI could be doing things wrong, and the ECU could then limit boost in response. It should fail by 120000 miles, so a new one would be good to have in the trunk, if the old one proves to be ok. Saves a tow truck and lots of cursing. Again you can do a swap test with another Saab.
Yep, replace the belt and at least the upper idler pully.
You can test the BPV hose for vacumm, therefore the hose is intact. Check via the discharge port with engine running, that the valve opens and closes as the hose is applied and removed. This hose really got the rots on my 95SET.
Any turbo hoses blowing off or damaged?
