My experience with Pirelli P-zeros is that they age hardened at lot. But they did start with a wear rating of 140, so they did still grip well. They were out of round and the sidewalls really got stiff.
I expect that your suspension is only making the outer front tire do all of the work, and the front inner tire is just loafing along for the ride. So the outer tire will be rolling over and can be easily buried. At least that is the way that I characterize things with my 20:20 hindsight with the VRK.
I put potenza S-03s on my wife's Passat Diesel, specifically to get better braking and wet traction. Touring tires that last a long time get too hard to be safe before you use the tread up. But with 1/2 of the tread gone at 15K, I don't think that that will be your problem. Folks who do a lot of highway commute miles get 50,000 out of performance tires. They get them age hardening with tire friendly miles. Folks who drive hard on a soft performance tire in the city will be able to wear down the 'green' tread very easily.
95SET, VRK, SAS sway bar, Koni's, Stock SE springs, Potenza S-03's comming soon.
