when the brake pedal was on a pedestal that went through the floorboard and "power brakes" meant "push harder". All of today's cars with sporting intentions have pedals placed so that "heel and toe" is done with the ball of the foot on the brake pedal and the edge on the throttle.
Hint. When you go to the brake, keep your heel as close as possible to where it is when you're just driving. Then as you brake with the ball of your foot, it's contorted into a better position to "roll" your ankle to blip the throttle.
For even more entertainment, double clutch your heel and toe downshifts! I used to...
