Nice looking in person, but i have to join the chorus of those who hate the plasticky interior. Bad, bad move, I think. especially when I compare the hard plastic in the 9-3 to the rental Camry I got as a loaner -- soft, rubbery, pleasant to the touch. Hell, it's worse than in my Viggen, which was a little plasticky for an expensive car
Saab/GM had better wake up -- they're not competing against just BMW and Audi and volvo anymore. With Honda and Toyota and Nissan locked in horsepower wars, and with VW having set the standard for interior quality in a family sedan, a lot of people will sacrifice a little luxury feel or Euro touch for the 200-240hp V6's those cars are starting to sport -- all at a price much less than even a Linear 9-3SS.
The dashboard and footwell plastics need serious redoing by Saab. Also, the Linear I sat in had no adjustable steering wheel (at least, I couldn't find a switch for it. Hope that's just my mistake).
