Same thing happened to me (I forgot about the cheap materials after driving it), but your C-Class example is excellent. I stayed away from the C-Class because I could not look beyond the crappy interior. To quote Anzir in his above post, «I just hope Saab brings up the quality of their interior. it deserves better».
The design is actually great and the confort and driving position superb; it’s just the choice of some of the materials that leaves to be desired. The steering wheel stalks are the most flagrant I guess. It just does not do justice to the rest of the car which is outstanding, and this will turn some people off.
