The new 9-3ss is an excellent display of GM letting SAAB take some really nice bits out of the corporate parts bin and fit in the expected SAAB tweaks that make them such nice driving machines.
Volvo is a good contrast to SAAB's recent movements. Ford is not really moving a high quality product out but rather reducing many of the qualities that made Volvo unique.
On the whole turbo thing, it is haaaaard to beat a Garrett. I think either unit has its merits, but in the end, about equal. I know Garrett drops some serious R&D into their turbo units and the technology as a whole.
