2001 Viggen. Pirelli P6000's, stock rims.

I have had the car down to the local dealer just about once every couple of months for faint vibrations at highway speeds (and, I *think*, but am not totally sure, between 30-40 mph). Basically, between 60 and 75, the car vibnrated. In some cases, when accelerating at 70 and higher (hee hee), the vibrration tended to get worse.

The dealer fiddled with it, balanced the wheels, balanced the tires, and checked alloys for straightness. According to them, everything is fine -- no bent rims, tires even and balanced, wheels in balance, axles fine, inner drivers fine.

For a week, things seemed ok, although I wasn't able to drive the car a lot at highway speed. Then, I noticed (especially when getting up to speed within a few minutes of starting the car), that familiar jiggly, vibrating feeling was back (a little, not as bad as it used to be). Now, this morning, commuting into work, stepping on the gas in 5th at about 70mph, there's a vibration again -- just as there was when I brought it in. But only when I accelerate.

What is going on? Is there a slight bend in the wheel (or wheels) that the dealer doesn't seem to be able to detect? Is there something else that could be bausing this? I've heard the Pirelli P6000's are prone to anomalies, but they came through clean on the balancing.

I'm really at wits end here -- as a pretty fanatical car hypochondriac, flaws bug the hell out of me, and it hurts my ability to enjoy driving the car. I'm going to get a second opinion on the situation (seeing as it has recurred after repeated requests to a particular dealer to fix it), but I just wanted everyone's thoughts.

jc form Atlanta on this board seemed to have a similar experience, if I recall correctly, and wheel/tire replacement did the trick. I just want to be sure before I go that far.

Thanks again!
