1999 9-3 SE Convertible Problems

I purchased a '99 9-3 in January of '03 and love it. Apparently, there was of batch of these Saabs made with clicky suspensions during cold weather and a leaky head gasket problem. Unfortunately, mine is from this batch. My warranty expires in 2 months. I have an appointment with the dealer to take care of the head gasket, non-working a/c and a non-working temp gauge. I'm curious about the temp gauge. Is this the beginning of a long line of electrical problems or just a fluke? Also, on many occasions, when I start the car in the morning, the cooling fan immediately kicks on. I've never experienced this on other vehicles. Is this abnormal? Finally, is anyone aware of any more problems from this batch of 9-3s. I would like to get everything resolved before the warranty expires. One more thing, when I come to a stop the left front wheel makes a hard click sound. Could this be the brake caliper or a trans thing? Thank you for checking out my post. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Mike
