1) What I said re. Wed's thread, boost isn't bad if you can't avoid positive pressure because of your particular situation. Pushing hard is bad when the car's cold, whether you're driving a blown or n/a motor, you need good flow for optimum lubrication, and you don't get good flow when cold.
3) Split rear seatback: don't know if this is your quandry(ies) but, first only one side (passenger side) "splits" down. Left side release is for whole seatback and supporting crossbar. Otherwise, maybe your just haven't figured out the short silent incantation necessary to unlatch either side. I've found it helps, as neither seems terribly intuitive, at least not at first!
4) Excellent for heel-toeing, so maybe you've got too much right foot on the brake. I've got relatively little feet (f e a t ?) sz 9, and I've got an egde on adjacent pedals occasionally, too, only in the steel toed or other type boots, though.
