1) '01 Viggen, ~17,300 miles, in service 22 months.
2) noted occasional balky shifting, within ~1000 miles of acquisition, both into and out of various gears, I'm thinking primarily 2nd and 3rd, but problem doesn't seem limited to any particular gear(s) or circumstance(s). Got car at 7600 miles (dealer demo).
3) no repair work (that I'm aware of, assuming zero).
4b) haven't yet approached dealer, I'm reasonably certain that they'll be responsive to my complaint and not just shrug because "they can't reproduce the problem".
7) Business wise, SaabUSA should direct dealers to perform service for those who complain, and support the effort under warranty, as they've already pretty much indicated in their notice. Fail to understand why dealers would balk at the work, unless they're just to lazy to do the paperwork for the folks in Norcross.
