9-3 throttle body question

Several weeks ago my 2002 9-3 abruptly began having idleing problems and then quit running. Engine light was on as was TCS light. Horn started intermitently going on and off. Towed to dealer.
Dealer said coke or juice had been spilled in key ignition on console. I doubted this and that this was the cause. But car seemed fixed.
Two days ago car began doing the same thing again but without horn problem. Towed to dealer. Now told it needs a throttle body which has been ordered. Car has 20k miles.
On my sixth new Saab since 1999. Prior problems of this nature on three other Saabs have always been ECU or faulty sensor confusing ECU. Told dealer but apparantly to no avail.
So my question. Does throttle body have some kind of sensor that could confuse ECU and if so, will new throttle body come with new sensor? Otherwise, I'm betting a new throttle body won't solve the problem because problem seems electronic, (as usual) not mechanical.
Thanks for any response in this regard.
