I knew it was drive by wire, but I guess I never thought about the tb having sensors. Makes sense. Dealer told me it has two sensors and when tb was replaced yesterday, the sensors were replaced as well as they are apparently attached.
On these new cars the ecu and the sensors can cause problems like a horn going off. Everything goes haywire.
I had a 2000 wagon that I took in for a 30K service and in changing the coolant, the dealership apparently somehow damaged the coolant sensor. The car was in the shop for a month and the dealer replaced half of what was under the hood before someone decided to replace the coolant sensor. That was all it was. But after the car got warmed up the faulty sensor fooled the ecu and the car wouldn't run at all. This was very similar.
