May not be a warranty item, but a windshield crack would be covered by certification process like brakes and tires. Did they see you trailer it away? If they didn't see that (and as every hour passes) they could claim it was done after you bought it and they are not liable. This is a tricky one and you have to hope you had a decent dealer since they could easily get away with telling you no since you did not point it out when you picked it up.
When I got my certified car it had two bent rims and the brakes (rotors and pads) had only 10% useful life left even thought they listed 70% on the 110 point sheet. The car had a shimmy when I test drove it with the salesman and the rotors could never have gotten that worn in my 1000 mile journey home. This was a dealer in Chicago (Saab Exchange) and after some complaining they made good on all of it. I also had about $1000 worth of warranty claims (mainly stupid stuff because I am anal) that also were done right after I got it. Sometimes they certify and take their chances. Overall though the car turned out to be excellent so it worked out in the end.
If they don't do anything about it at least report it to Saab. They won't do anything about it, but at least they will note it. They need some better rigor/control for CPO program IMO.
