The rear does not have struts, only the front. After viewing the pics, I see that you are talking about the rear axle, not the front.
The rear is a simple semi-live axle. Not independant suspension.
There is nothing at all on the rear axle that can be officially adjusted. So nothing to go out of adjustment. There are two rubber bushings that allow the axle to swing up and down. You can inspect those, but thats not the problem.
You are worried about excess camber.
The rear axle can be bent if the wheel takes a lateral load, or someone bends it by putting a jack on in *. Either of those events would tend to reduce the camber and move the top of the tire out.
Never jack up a vehicle by the control arms or axles of this type. Maybe a rigid tube axle on a heavy truck.
I would jack up the vehicle and check for loosness in the bearings or the hub mount fasteners. If the hub fastener bolts are loosened, GM N-body type shims can be used to change the orientation of the hub relative to the axle.
Again, the only provision to adjust anything in the suspension is limited to only the front axle toe-in.
First of all, you need a rear axle camber spec. I could not locate this in the Saab WIS for 1999 9-3. If someone knows its there, please post where.
Does the vehicle track straight?
Does the tread wear look heavy on one side?
Rear camber spec (haynes) used to be -1.4 to -2.0 degrees. The tires are around 24" diameter. sin(2)=0.34, sin(2)*24=0.83", so if the top of the tire was .83" in more than the bottom, that would be on the edge of the spec. Get a 24" framing square or a anything close to square and check it out yourself.
Others have compained about this before.
