No, we had a media warehouse type place here in Atlanta that sold generic Mitsui discs of various flavors. I don't remember which grade I was buying, but they were very, very pale gold looking whereas most "audio" blanks sold at Best Buy or CompUSA are darker green - they may have even been called Mitsui gold. I used to buy them in rolls of 50. I know there were some sites out there that discussed the various CD-R manufacturers and which store brands were manufactured by whom, and which ones you should avoid. I don't remember the site but I'm sure Google can help. I seem to remember Taiyo Yuden as being one of the better manufacturers as well as Mitsui, but I think they all make various grades of material.
