The dealership said that the camber and toe-in on the driver's side REAR wheel was off(I don't have the numbers, but they could've not even put it on an alignment rack). They asked if I had hit anything. Clearly I haven't (unless one of the tech's did at the dealership during a test drive -- for instance after my front left hub bearing was replaced, they took a rather lengthy test drive). No, the car has never been pulled by the rear axle. The car has never even been towed as long as I have owned it. And this is a new problem. This camber/toe-in issue is something that has occurred while I've owned the car, for certain.
-- One thing I should mention -- after I noticed this problem the first time, I took it immediately to a goodyear service center, and watched them put it up on a lift, look at the suspension parts, and said in no uncertain terms "nothing bent, nothing broken, safe to drive." They didn't put it on an alignment rack because they were just about to close...
--But when I took it to dealership is when I hear all this bent axle business.... who do I believe? should I take the car to a service center(other than the dealership) and get that "hub seated correctly" thing checked out like you suggested earlier? I KNOW there is something wrong.. I'm just not certain I should believe exactly what the dealer says.
to reiterate -- the dealership said, on my driver's side rear wheel, that camber and toe-in was off. does this put me in a whole new ballgame?
