Here's the continuation of my clutch\tranny saga that started back in September.... After having paid a $3k+++ bill to replace the gearbox and clutch, I've been driving the car regularly since the repair without issue. The mechanic installed a new clutch and a new gearbox with 38k miles on it. But now, I have a clutch pedal that won't catch or release unless I press(and at times JAM) the pedal all the way to the floor. There is now a LOT of dead pedal space... Its as if the clutch itself has faded/worn entirely down to nothing (I was billed for the parts and labor to install a new one) OR there is more mechanical issues here, like the slave cylinder not putting out the proper amt. of line pressure. It should be noted that when I went to pick up the car in Sept. after I was told it was done, the pedal was doing exactly the same thing it is doing now. I left the car there and told them to fix it and make sure it was working properly before turning it back over to me. They told me they bled the line and when I picked it up the next day it worked fine and did so for the couple of months leading up to last week....
So on to trying to figure out what the souce of the problem is.... I am unsure weather or not the clutch pedal feeds off the master cylinder or a slave cylinder btw. Hoping somebody here can clue me in on what feeds the hydrolic line for the clutch or if anyone has experienced similar symptoms I've described above to share your experiences. Thanks in advance for your response...
