I can't see than any of the components of brake fluid are natural! So, yes it is synthetic, but it would be hard to state that other brands are not. *I do use the same product*
Valvoline is in a rut where almost everything that the put on the shelf has to have "synthetic" on the label. Next thing will be packaging in "synthetic plastic" bottles!
The main point I want to make, is that 'synthetic' should not be confused with -silicone- brake fluids. Use of silicone brake fluids is stated to be destructive to the ABS systems. (I believe that the silicone brake fluids are 'DOT 5'. But someone will straighten that out if not ;<} )
