You can buy any 8-pin DIN cable on Ebay (there are lots of them), then cut it in the middle. Do the same with another cable, then twist the approriate wires together, and wrap with electric tape. That is what I had done (I could not find the 8-pin DIN to RCA adapter anywhere.) I later found a site in Germany that sells them, and got one, but have not had the time to put it in -- I am still driving with the self-made cable.
As I was doing this, I discovered that you do not need to connect all 8 wires. You only need 4: right signal, right ground, left signal, left ground.
The turn-on signal from the SAAB's head unit is too weak. You'll have to use some other source signal to turn the amplifier on. (I used the wire that turns on the antenna). Thus, any 5-pin DIN connector (that I saw so many of at Radio Shack) would have probably worked. At $1.50 I would give that a try first. If that does not work, then I would start searching for the 8-pin cable.
