Before you go spending gobs of money on new struts, mount bearings, etc.
Check the inner and outer tie rod ends. 63K is early for struts to be bad, unless you do a lot of dirt road driving.
My 93SE had 56K on it when it clunked and felt real loose going over bumpy roads. It turned out I only need to change the passenger outer tie-rod end. Cost $50, Time: 30 minutes.
The car no longer clunks and steers tight on all conditions. It was hard to believe that one part would make the whole front end feel crappy, but it did.
To test the outers, have someone inthe car turn the wheel back and forth about 4 inches. At the same time reach behind the front tire and grab the tie-rod end. If you feel any play or clunking, it is bad. Do the same on the other side.
Or take it to an Indy Saab mechanic and have them test them, it only takes a minute.
