I don't completly understand what you did but I can give you a couple of pointers.

The SRS computer HAS to see a certain resistance that represent the air bag resistance. If you have removed the air bag out of the loop (what it sounds like that you did) it will never work.

The other pointer is that the SRS light will NEVER go away without being reset by a special tool (Tech 2 scanner). It doesn't matter if you have fixed all the problems, you still need to reset the light with that scanner.

I cannot understand why the dealer does not install the reference resistor tool in place of the air bag and let you drive the car with that. That way, if the light comes back on, they will know that it is not just the air bag but actually a wiring or computer problem.

Maybe you can buy the special tool yourself and plug it into the harness.
