1998 is the last model year of the NG900's, and probably the best. I have put 20k on my 1998 900s and the only thing that I've had to fix is the serp. belt, which Isn't a huge deal anyways. I think these are great cars, and if its been taken care of & all service records are there..go for it. Not sure about the low coolant, it could be the sensor in the coolant tank or maybe it's actually low on coolant. In any event, I would get it checked out by a reputable Saab mechanic before you do anything.
