Sorry to suggest this, but is it possible the shifting solenoids have been damaged by the mix. The solenoids control shifts as demanded by the Trans Control Unit. Also, there's a pressure regulator. These parts have elastomer seals. If they damaged (leaking too much) as the fluid warms, could the tranmission get stuck in neutral?
Buck was helpful on a tranny problem on my 94 V6 900S a few months back. He frequents Tech night chat. Replacing the solenoids was easy.... after lowering the front suspension bracket about 4 inches, lowering the transmission another 3 inches (remove drivers side mount), removing about 9 bolts from the front side of the transmission, etc. Took 2 days and one night for me.
