Well, rattling seems to be somewhat covered.
Saab made the front ARB smaller, in my opinion, for two reasons.
1. They wanted to make the rear ARB bigger with respect to the front bar, to eliminate some small amount of understeer without sacrificing too much ride comfort. They didnt do enough here for most enthusiasts, so the bigger rear ARB helps a lot.
2. (probably more important to your case) Giving the front a thicker front ARB would've made the car lift up even more on the inside front wheel in corners, making for more wheelspin when you hit the gas too early coming out of a corner.
Part of the handling problem with the Viggen may have been that SAAB get too extreme with this car in the handling/putting power down department. They didnt get rid of enough understeer, and they didnt add a limited slip diff. I'd be wary of changing the front ARB, as this will limit some of your newfound neutrality and also get rid of some of your ability to hammer on it coming out of corners.
Good luck eliminating your noises!
