I usually like posting happy moments such as new koni suspension and praise of my beloved saab, but I just drove through thigh deep water - about 2 1/2 feet i think - my car is on the fritz and I'm flipping out. I immediately jumped out and pushed my car out of the water, but the floors got filled with water, well, just about everything got filled with water.
In any case, I really would like to hear what needs to be done, what I can do to save my car. It's only been about 4 hours since the initial swim (mind you, i didn't have the stock buoys on the side skirts). I've tried to start it after I got it out with no luck. While standing in the rain scooping water out, my doors locked and unlocked, the alarm went off for a minute once, then stopped, and there was a weird rapid ticking noise, I think it was the A/C.
Right now, its in my garage airing out, I'm about to grab the hairdryer to dry the inside. I know the T5 module is under the glove, on the right, inside the fender, not sure of any other vital computer/electronic components in the car. The tow truck guy said the car computer was under the drivers seat, but I'm pretty sure there's only the seat motors, etc under there.
I just need help knowing what to do next. Am I going to have problems with the DIC? Should I let the car sit for a couple days (prob what I will do)? Will trying to start the car now cause further damage? HELP!!!!!!
Much love to the community.
