Couple of fun ways to go for you. Go drive a 9-5 Aero sometime, a SportWagon or new SportCombi, or any 9-5 SportWagon.
Or cultivate a 9-3 or NG900 3 door. There is an undeniable attraction to the coupe, or in Saab's case, 3 door style. Numbers are pretty limited for 3 door production, you'd have something way more unique than your average Saab. On the contrary Saab has had goofy 5 door bodystyles since the model 99 GLE. The 9-5 SportWagon is finally a good looking 5 door.
I agree the 9-3SS has sanitized the handling characteristics of the 9-3. No torque steer, no plowing understeer, no harsh ride over minor imperfections, no hatch rattles, how's anyone gonna' know it's a Saab.... I just wish the coulda' made the 9-3SS a little more Saab traditional on the inside, like a 9-5 for example. A 9-5 also addresses all those same OG9-3 faults, but still looks and feels more like a Saab to me.
