I too am a Porsche owner as well, but I only have one and it's a 72. But that being said I knew almost anything there was to know about my Porsche, but did not have a clue when it came to my fist Saab which was an 88 spg that I bought in 91. So I bought a repair manual and with the help of this board I'm now a pretty confident home mechanic. These cars for the most part are pretty easy so don't get scared of nuances. Yes they are a tad different, but pretty easy to figure out. Check our sponsors for parts and how to articles. What you can't find in a book or online, just ask here like at P.P and you questions will be answered. There are some great mechanics on this board.
No need for a timing belt; NGK plugs only. Oil is subjective and I’m not sure if that engine is in the sludge category. These cars can creek and these creaks depend on where it’s coming from, shock’s, bushings…..
Welcome aboard.
