WOW! Thanks for the many replys. I have a Saab 900SE Convertible with Automatic Tranny and the 2.0 litre turbo engine.
What is a "DI Cassette"?
As for the Timing Belt- you said there is no need for one...do you mean that the 2.0 litre engine is not an impact engine?
There are a few things that are lttle niggly things that I want to either repair or replace. The first is- in the back-seat and between the two front seat (on the center console) it appears there was something back there that is now missing and I dont have a clue what it was. Rear A/C vent perhaps or and ashtray???
Next the stereo ROCKS in these (well done Saab...if you are watching), however I have a bad one in the front passenger door. Do I need to remove the door to replace the speaker or does the grill come off annd the speaker popped out from there?
Next performance...I am pretty impressed with the thge "giddyup" that little 185HP 3800 lbs car has (and that is coming from 330HP 928S4, and 444HP 996 TwinTurbo driver). However, is there any cheap HP left in this Saab or is pretty much like a Porsche where there is not much left without significant cost? I am really curious about that.
Finally, I have the Viking Rims and lemme say this those- things are "BUUUUUTT" ugly (sorry, I don't mean to offend anybody that my like them). I was planning on a nicer 18" rim and all of the after-market rims I see for the Saab 900's are 17". Is there a problem fitting 18's to these?
As for my "former Porsche" owner statement...well, Porsche drivers are as fanatical and loyal to the marque as Saab owners and it will only be a few months before I will renew my ownership of another and it will likely be a 997C4S or 928GTS.
