"Seeping" rear shocks?

Local Goodyear shop is doing the annual inspection on my 2001 Base, 86K mi., and called to say that the rear shocks were "seeping." I asked, leaking? No, just seeping, which they say will lead to leaking.
Any feedback as to whether to wait on swapping shocks out? I grew up in that era when shocks on Detroit iron were replaced at 30K because you knew they were junk. The durability and stability of the OEM Sachs that are on this car have amazed me. The current ride and handling seem pretty unaffected very much at all by over 86K. No bounce, and stable at high speed and in turns. I have come to the opinion that if and when these shocks need replacement, that I want the same quality OEM shock.
TIA. DER
