FWIW, the proferred service was declined on getting the call. I do not pretend to be an expert. I have only installed shocks with my own hands one time, a full set of sport Koni's on my Miata several years ago, literally under the proverbial shade tree using a borrowed spring compressor.
What I have difficulty with may be the language. I know what lubricated shock shafts are, dry, shot shock shafts too. And I know what leaking shocks are. To my ear, though, "seepage" is more than lubricated and less than leaking. If someone cares to explain this fine point, I am all ears.
